Palmetto Sound Works Joins with the Marshall Tucker Band to Carry Needed Items to Hurricane Victims

This October, the east coast experienced the largest Atlantic hurricane on record with winds spanning 1,100 miles.  While 24 states were affected, New York and New Jersey took the brunt of the storm.  The waters have receded and it’s been a week since the damaging storm and there are thousands upon thousands of people who need help.  Palmetto Sound Works has joined forces with The Marshall Tucker Band to carry on their production trucks items needed from South Carolina to New York.  Doug Gray with The Marshall Tucker Band is thrilled to have Alan Hulsey and Palmetto Sound Works helping “give back”.  Both companies do a lot of work up north and have a generous spirit towards helping people in need.

The trucks will be leaving out the morning of Friday, November 9, 2012 from Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium (385 North Church Street Spartanburg, SC 29303).  Donations will be collected Thursday, November 8th from 4-7:30pm.  While many areas have been affected, there will be a concentration on those people who are in need of shelter and electricity.  The items donated will go to specific fire and police stations within Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.
